Hey guys I just wanted to get your thoughts on this setup. My prelude is being used for a prototype for an Lsyholm-like twin screw supercharger with liquid-to-air intercooler setup. The pics are at the following web page:

Keep in mind that this is the first prototype so the tubes and all might not be the prettiest [heh].

Very nice, looks similar to the IC setup in the new JRSC kits for the current generation miatas.

Have you or your guys worked out the atts setup? I know that is a big delay for the JRSC SH. All the turbo guys disengage it. Are you going to do that or are they going ot work out the system? How much wieght are you guys expecting? That system looks heavy...even though it is all aluminun!

I somewhat disagree. I don't think we can say for certain that the JRSC's delays have to do with ATTS. I say this because why wouldn't they sell the standard version instead of losing potential customers to turbo setups?

Plus I've known of people using mild turbo setups (read 230-240WHP) who don't have a problem with turbo. Of course ATTS is going to freak if you double the horse power, but I think 30-45% increase won't necessarily be a problem.

I should know personally shortly, I expect to have around 240-250WHP on my SH setup when the tuning and last setup mods are made to it in February.

Actually things are already changing a little so will have to see how it's going to be next week =(. I know I really shouldn't complain becuase at least my car will be one of the first with it on and all BUT it's been over a month now... oh well =).

That is one thing I am concerned about with the ATTS like you said. But maybe mr. detail knows more (JR employee right?). But I heard that JR did the kit on a SH and didn't have any issues with it. Like smilez stated I also heard people with turbos pusing upwards of high 200's whp had to disable the ATTS becuase of torque steer, but I want to see a non-quali/non-posi-trac frontend axle that wouldn't have a torque steer problem with that much power.

As far as the weight goes I am estimating it too be in the ballpark of 60-70lbs. all said and done. Most of the weight comes from the supercharger (18-20lbs) + intercooler and fluid (probably 30lbs.?). But hey maybe a little extra weight over the wheels wouldn't be a bad idea, considering JRSC reported massive traction problems in 1st and 2nd... ahhh can only hope =)... for such... "problems" [heh].

Hey JRCivic that's your SI they have I imagine right? They said it actually wasn't too bad but I guess it's boosting somewhere around 9psi at max? And somewhere around 90's psi for fuel pressure? I am just jealous at ALL the ROOM you have in those civic engine compartments [heh]. Maybe I should get rid of my "bulky" H22A setup... nah.

ANyway I will keep the site updated as well as possible and thanks for the feedback. It's actually kind of cool being able to see the progress made each day... at the expense of the shop owners nerves when he see's me come in every day [heh].

The ATTS has not been the hold up or even a problem.
It has been production and once we get a piece they didn't make it to the print so we have to modify it. It has been a long process.
